The holiday playlist

So it’s December and all that and while Softsynth may seem the cynic, he still appreciates the holiday season. In fact now that the Month of Ho is upon us the Softsynth Holiday Playlist has been added to the iPod and is in full play mode. This year’s playlist will be familiar to those who have followed this blog lo these last few years, and as always, if you know of something that should be here that isn’t (yet) shout ‘er out!

Venus Hum: Switched on Christmas EP (Let it Snow, Suzy Snowflake, The Christmas Song, Silver Bells, Saint Mary’s Lake, I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm)

Book of Love: We Three Kings

Chew Lips: When You Wake Up

Erasure: God rest Ye Merry Gentlemen + She Won’t Be Home

Golden Filter: White NightsMGMT: Come On Christmas

Northern Kind: Tears and Tinsel

Pet Shop Boys: It Doesn’t Often Snow at Christmas

Silver Swans : Holidays

Soviet: Come Together… It’s Christmas

New Modern Angels: December

And new this year: Curxes: Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

And because we’re not monsters, *Band Aid: Do They Know It’s Christmas

What’s missing? What needs to be on a real electronic seasonal playlist?

(*As much as your humble blogger drones on about the value of the drum machine he actually plays drums in a band who are playing a Christmas party next week where this song will be played and Softsynth has the vocal on the George Michael line. Full disclosure in the spirit of the season!)

  1. Schmoof – Turn On Christmas!

  2. Well, what do you know…there’s a new Dragonette offering called “Merry Xmas (Says Your Text Message),” and it’s none too polite but not too shabby either.

  3. Darkman1111 Says:

Add also this one, The Good Natured & Colette Carr – Christmas Wrapping
